Tri County Economic Development District is a

State Data Center Affiliate.

The State Data Center (SDC) program is a cooperative program between the states and the Census Bureau created in 1978 to make data available locally to the public through a network of state agencies, universities, libraries, and regional and local governments.

Affiliate agencies provide convenient access to census and other socio economic data. Many of these agencies have data about their service area that is available nowhere else in the state.

The statewide data center affiliate agencies provide a number of products and services including:

·         Consult on data use.

·         Handle requests for economic and demographic data.

·         Create a web presence with links to informational products based on census data.
