Rural Opportunities Loan Fund

The Rural Opportunities Loan Fund serves these ten Eastern Washington counties:

  • Adams
  • Asotin
  • Ferry
  • Garfield
  • Grant
  • Lincoln
  • Pend Oreille
  • Stevens
  • Whitman
  • Spokane (outside the City of Spokane and City of Spokane Valley city limits)

The Rural Opportunities Loan Fund provides business financing for business expansion, retention, and start-up projects to borrowers that do not quality for traditional loans. Our clients may take advantage of our financing services only once they provide documentation that adequate financing is not available from conventional sources at reasonable rates and terms. This is often accomplished with a turn-down letter from a commercial bank.

Loans cannot be used for:

  • Refinancing (unless the refinancing is necessary for the business to remain or become viable)
  • Payment of any tax obligation
  • Making payments on existing debt; this includes payments on other loans
